Abstract

This research aims to know the knowledge and understanding of students of early childhood education study program of Trunojoyo Madura University in understanding the Convention on the Rights of the Child in order to be a prospective educator who understands about the rights that must be given to children. This research uses quantitative research methods with descriptive types. The results showed that students of teacher education for early childhood education study program as many as 11 people with a percentage of 17% obtained a very good category, as many as 27 people with a percentage of 43% obtained a good category, as many as 23 people with a percentage of 3% obtained a good category, as many as 2 people with a percentage of 3% obtained a bad category, and no student obtained a very bad category. Based on the data, it can also be known that the average score from the overall student poll is 63,095 and falls into the good category. Therefore, to improve the understanding of PG PAUD UTM students still need to be briefed or socialized about the Convention on the Rights of the Child through webinars, seminars, and so forth.
