1. Can manuscripts be submitted via email?
No. All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the Insan Cendekia Online Journal System (OJS) portal. Submissions sent via email or social media will not be processed to ensure a transparent, systematic editorial and trackable record.
2. How long does the article processing take?
The average timeline for a manuscript in Insan Cendekia is as follows:

Initial Screening & Editorial Decision: ± 7–14 days.

Peer Review Process to Decision: ± 4–6 weeks.

Author Revision Stage: 2–4 weeks (depending on the author's speed).

Acceptance to Online Publication: ± 1–2 weeks (after the APC payment is confirmed).

3. What are the publication fees for this journal?

Submission Fee: IDR 0.00 (Completely Free during submission and screening).

Article Processing Charge (APC): IDR 200,000.00 (Payable only after the manuscript successfully passes the peer-review process and receives an official Accepted status).
4. Where can I download the manuscript template?
The official manuscript template can be downloaded directly from the sidebar of the Insan Cendekia website under the "Journal Template" or "Author Guidelines" section. Authors must strictly adhere to this template before submitting.
5. Is it possible to obtain an expedited Letter of Acceptance (LoA)?
No. A Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is an official document issued only after the manuscript has successfully passed the Double-Blind Peer Review process and has been formally approved for publication by the Editor-in-Chief. We do not issue LoAs upon submission or screening.
6. Can I withdraw my manuscript after submission?

A manuscript may be withdrawn without any penalties if it is still in the initial editorial screening phase (before being assigned to external reviewers).

If an author withdraws a manuscript during or after the peer-review stage without a valid academic reason, it is considered a breach of publication ethics. Sanctions may apply, including a temporary ban on future submissions to this journal.
7. What is the maximum acceptable plagiarism percentage?
The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20% using professional plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin). This limit excludes the bibliography and standard academic phrases. Authors are highly encouraged to perform a self-check before submission.
8. Is Ethical Clearance required for educational or cultural research?

For research involving human subjects (such as experimental teaching models or sensitive cultural field studies), an Ethical Clearance certificate or statement is recommended.

For standard Classroom Action Research (CAR), descriptive studies, or literature reviews, a formal institutional permission letter from the school, university, or relevant authority is generally sufficient.
9. How many times is the journal published each year?
Insan Cendekia: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan is published periodically throughout the year. (Note: You can specify your exact publication months here, for example: three times a year in April, August, and December).
10. How many articles are published in each issue?
Each issue typically publishes between 5 to 15 high-quality articles that have met all scholarly standards, passed peer reviews, and been approved by the Editorial Board.
11. Does the manuscript have to be written in English?
Insan Cendekia accepts high-quality manuscripts written in both Indonesian and English. However, authors are highly encouraged to submit in English to increase global visibility, readership, and citation potential.
